Savory cake: Roquefort, cheddar and olives

I like the texture and the mix of flavor of this savory cake. It can be done in small portion for aperitif or in one large portion for the main course, served with a salad. This savory cake can be easily stored in a plastic box for 4 days.

What do you need?

  • 180 g self raising flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • 80 ml milk
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 50 g cheddar
  • 100 g Roquefort
  • 100 g pitted black olives

How to do a savory cake: roquefort, cheddar and black olives ?

  • Pre-heat the oven at 180°C
  • Mix together flour with eggs, and then add the olive oil and the milk
  • Add salt and pepper
  • Incorporate the cheddar in the preparation
  • Then add the sliced in 2 or 4 pieces pitted black olives
  • Then add pieces of Roquefort

! Tip: If you would like to bake small portion of the savory cake with roquefort, cheddar and olives, I would advise to mix all the preparation with a blender in order to have a smoother preparation

  • Pour the preparation in one large mould or in individual mould
  • Put it on the oven at 180°C for 25 minutes
  • Serve it lukewarm or cold
