Yogurt cake with chocolate touch

An easy cake to cook, you will enjoy it for tea time and for breakfast

PREPARATION: 20 minutes
COOK: 35/45 minutes at 200°C

What do you need ?

  • 125 g Natural yogurt
  • 125 g sugar
  • 375 g flour
  • 8 g of baking powder
  • 125 g of butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 50 g of non sugar chocolate
  • a pinch of salt

How to make Yogurt cake with chocolate touch?

  • Preheat the oven at 200°C
  • In a large bowl, mix the yogurt with sugar and the vanilla extract
  • Add the eggs and a pinch of salt
  • Add little by little the flour
  • Add the baking powder
  • Add the milk
  • Add the butter
  • Divide the dough in two parts in two different bowls
  • In only bowl, add the chocolate and mix it
  • Pour an half of the original preparation into a long cake pan

! Tip: Use baking parchment in order to remove easily the cake from the pan

  • Then add an half part of the chocolate dough
  • Add the leftover of the original dough
  • Finish the cake with the chocolate dough
  • Bake the cake in the oven at 200°C for 35/45 minutes
    ! Beware of not burning them, check them regularly
    ! Tip: you can check the baking with a knife. Put the blade inside the cake. If it stays dry then the cakes are ready to serve!
