Goat cheese and ham puff pastry

I really enjoy this recipe. You can serve it as a starter or as a main course with salad.

What do you need?

  • puff pastry ready to use  (I have used a square one)
  • 120 g goat cheese
  • 3 slices of dry-cured ham
  • salt
  • pepper
  • mixed herbs

For the white sauce (béchamel):

  • 20 g of light butter
  • 17 g of corn flour
  • 230 ml skimmed milk
  • pepper

How to do the white sauce (béchamel)?

  • Melt the butter in a pan
  • Add the corn flour
  • Add the milk
  • Mix all the ingredient on a medium heat until it becomes a little bit harder
  • Add pepper

How to do the goat cheese and ham puff pastry?

  • Cut 4 large squares of puff pastry
  • Spread white sauce (béchamel) on the middle
  • Add 30 g of goat cheese in each square
  • Add the dry-cured ham
  • Add salt, pepper and mixed herbs
  • Close the puff pastry
  • Spread a mixture of half yolk egg with water on the top of the puff pastry
  • Put in the oven at 200°C for 20 minutes
  • Eat them hot with salad
