A nice way to do and present a Brioche. This is a really quick recipe (quicker than the other one). I discovered this recipe on the instruction book of my Lagrange breadmaker.

SERVES: serveserveserveserve
PREPARATION: 10 minutes + 30 minutes in the bread maker
COOK: 20/25 minutes at 180°C
DIFFICULTY:StarStarWhat do you need ?

For the bun:

  • 110 ml milk
  • 2 eggs yokes
  • 50 g butter or light butter
  • 35 g sugar or 25 g sugar + 10 g of vanilla sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of  vanilla aroma (don’t add it if you have used vanilla sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 275 g plain white flour
  • ½ instant yeast sachet

For decoration:

  • sugar crysrals

How to make the Brioche, flavour almond?

  • Put all the ingredients in your bread maker in the exact order of the list displayed above
! Beware: yeast must not be in contact with salt and water
  • Use twice the kneading program of your bread maker
  • Put the bread dough outside and divide it on 3 equal bowls
  • Flat the bowls and braid them together
  • Brush the top of the brioche with a mix of one egg yolk and one tablespoon of water
  • Add the sugar crystals on the top
  • Let the Brioche rise around 40 minutes in a warm environment
  • Heat the oven at 250°C for 10 minutes
  • Then put the brioche in the oven at 180°C for 20/25 minutes
Tips Tip: if you want to have a crispy Brioche, put an oven tray in the oven during the pre- heating phase and after the pre-heating, add some cold water (about 20 cl) in the oven tray. The steam will add crisp to your Brioche.
  • Then put your hot Brioche on a shelf to let it cool down
