A tasty bread that contains a lot of fibres. You can easily keep this bread for 2 to 3 days.

PREPARATION: 10 minutes + 1h 40 in the bread maker
COOK: 15 minutes at 250°C

What do you need ?

  • 150 ml water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 30 g seeds or a mix of seeds and dried fruits
  • 100 g strong wholemeal flour
  • 150 g plain flour
  • ½ instant yeast sachet

How to make Semi-whole bread with seeds or dried fruits?

  • Put all the ingredients in your bread maker in the exact order of the list displayed above
    Tips Tip: you can bake the seeds in a pan in order to give them more flavour
    ! Beware: yeast must not be in contact with salt and water
  • Use the bread dough program of your bread maker
  • Put the bread dough outside and make 4 or 5 balls of dough (100 g by ball)
  • Make a cross at the top of each balls so that the air can come into the bread
  • Use a brush to add a mixture of water and milk on the top of each ball
  • Add some seeds for the decoration
  • Cover balls with a tea towel
  • Let balls rise around 30 minutes in a warm environment
  • Heat the oven at 250°C for 10 minutes
  • Then put the balls of bread in the oven at 250°C for 15 minutes
    Tips Tip: if want to have a crispy bread, put an oven tray in the oven during the pre- heating phase and after the pre-heating, add some cold water (about 20 cl) in the oven tray. The steam will add crisp to your bread
  • Then put your hot breads on a shelf to let it cool down
