Flamenkuche 6
A traditional dish that come from the East part of France.

SERVES: serveserve
PREPARATION: 20 minutes + 1h 40 for the Flamenkuche dough
COOK: 10/15 minutes at 200°C

What do you need?
For the dough:

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 90 ml warmed water
  • 1,5 teaspoon salt
  • 150 g flour
  • ½ instant yeast sachet

For the topping:

  • 1 oinion
  • 50 g bacon
  • 4/5 tablespoon Creme fraiche
  • a pinch of salt
  • pepper
  • 2 or 4 pinch of nutmeg
  • a dash of olive oil

How to make the Flamenkuche dough?

  • Put all the ingredients in your bread maker in the exact order of the list displayed above
    ! Beware: yeast must not be in contact with salt and water
  • Use the bread dough program of your bread maker

How to make a flamenkuche?

  • Spread the dough with the rolling pin
  • Put it in an oven tray with a baking parchment
  • Prick the pastry with fork
  • In a bowl, mix crème fraiche with salt, pepper and nutmeg
  • Spread this preparation on the dough
  • Slice thinly the oinion
  • Add the thin slices of onion on the dough
  • Slice thinly bacon
  • Add he thin slices of bacon on the dough
  • Add a dash of olive oil
  • Put it in the oven at 200°C for 10/15 minutes
    ! Becareful, check it regularly in order to avoid to burn it.
  • Servie it immediately
