Who Pitched For The Blue Jays Today On Tv

Hey there, sports fan! You're probably wondering, "Who pitched for the Blue Jays today on TV?" Well, let's grab a coffee and chat about it, yeah?

First things first, let's check the schedule. Today's game was against the Yankees, and it was broadcast on Sportsnet, our trusty Canadian sports network. So, grab your favorite snack and let's dive in!

Meet Our Ace

Alright, so who was the lucky pitcher? Let me set the scene. The Jays were looking for a win, and they needed someone to step up. Enter our hero, Robbie Ray!

Now, you might be thinking, "Robbie Ray? Isn't he the guy who won the Cy Young award last year?" Why, yes, yes he is! The Blue Jays must've been feeling pretty lucky to have him on their team today.

Why Robbie Ray?

Well, for starters, Robbie's got a mean fastball. I'm talking 97 mph, folks! Plus, he's got this wicked curveball that makes batters look like they're swinging at ghosts. It's a beautiful thing to watch.

But it's not just about the heat and the spin. Robbie's got this calm, collected demeanor on the mound. He's like the cool kid at the party, you know? Nothing seems to rattle him, not even the Yankees' loud and rowdy crowd.

How'd He Do?

So, how did our boy Robbie fare? Let's break it down. He pitched for 6 innings, gave up 3 hits, and struck out 7 Yankees. Not too shabby, huh?

Now, I know what you're thinking, "What about the runs?" Well, he did give up 2, but hey, no one's perfect. And besides, the Blue Jays' offense was on fire today, so Robbie had some serious run support.

Bottom of the 6th

Here's where things got a little interesting. The Yankees were threatening in the bottom of the 6th. They had the bases loaded, and the crowd was electric. But Robbie, he just took a deep breath, stepped off the mound, and collected himself.

Then, he threw a nasty slider that had Aaron Judge swinging at thin air. Strike three! The crowd went silent, and the Blue Jays' dugout erupted. That's our Robbie!

Final Thoughts

So there you have it, folks. Robbie Ray pitched for the Blue Jays today on TV, and he did a darn good job of it too. He might not have thrown a complete game, but he sure as heck gave the Jays a chance to win.

Now, I'm not saying he's the second coming of Roy Halladay, but he's certainly making a name for himself in the Blue Jays' rotation. And who knows? Maybe one day we'll be talking about Robbie Ray in the same breath as the greats.

Anyway, that's enough baseball talk for one coffee break. Until next time, folks! Let's keep our fingers crossed for another Blue Jays win!
