Who Is The Voice Of Kevin The Carrot

Hey there, food lovers! Ever wondered who's the brains behind Kevin the Carrot, the star of Aldi's hilarious adverts? Let's dive in and find out!

Meet Imelda Staunton, the Voice of Kevin

That's right! The talented actress you know from films like Vera Drake and the Harry Potter series is the one bringing Kevin to life. But here's a fun fact - Imelda isn't just Kevin's voice; she's also the voice of his girlfriend, Katie!

Imagine that - she's playing a couple, but she's not even in the same room as herself! Talk about a date gone... circular?

How Did It All Start?

Well, it all began when Aldi was looking for a voice that would capture Kevin's cheeky charm. They wanted someone who could make us laugh while making us crave their delicious food. Imelda's unique voice and comedic timing made her the perfect fit!

And the rest, as they say, is history. Kevin and Katie have been stealing our hearts (and our shopping lists) ever since!

Imelda's Take on Kevin

Imelda has said that she loves playing Kevin because he's a bit of a rogue. He's always getting into mischief, but he's lovable all the same. She also loves that he's a bit of a rebel, going against the other supermarkets with his cheeky one-liners.

And who can blame him? I mean, have you seen the competition? Those other veggies are a bit... bland, if you ask me. Kevin's the life of the party, and Imelda brings that to life perfectly!

From Stage to Screen to... Carrot?

Imelda's had an incredible career, from stage to screen, and now she's voicing a carrot. When asked about the transition, she laughed and said, "It's all about the challenge, darling!"

And we're so glad she took on this challenge. Without her, Kevin would just be a... well, a carrot. But with Imelda, he's a star!

Why We Love Kevin (And Imelda)

Kevin's ads are hilarious, and Imelda's voice is a big part of that. But it's also because she brings heart to the role. Kevin might be a carrot, but he's a carrot with feelings, and Imelda makes us care about him.

Plus, let's be real - we all need a bit of laughter in our lives, especially when we're doing the weekly shop. And Kevin delivers that in spades!

A Final Thought

So there you have it - Imelda Staunton is the voice of Kevin the Carrot. Isn't it amazing how one person can bring so much joy to our lives? Whether she's playing a carrot or a complex character in a film, Imelda always brings her A-game.

Next time you're watching Kevin's antics, remember to thank Imelda. And if you see her in the supermarket, give her a little wave. She might just wave back with her leafy green friend!

Until next time, happy shopping (and laughing)!
