How Old Was Shawn Mendes In 2018

So, there I was, scrolling through my Instagram feed the other day, and I stumbled upon this throwback pic of Shawn Mendes. You know, the guy who's been melting hearts with his music and that killer smile. This particular pic was from, like, ages ago - 2018, to be precise. And it got me thinking, "Hey, how old was Shawn Mendes in 2018?"

Now, I know what you're thinking, "Dude, it's not that hard to find out. Just Google it!" And you're right, it's not. But where's the fun in that? Let's dive into this together, shall we?

Shawn Mendes: The Early Days

First things first, let's rewind the clock a bit. Shawn Mendes was born on August 8, 1998, in Toronto, Canada. That makes him a Leo, by the way. You're welcome for that fun fact. Now, if we're talking about 2018, we're looking at a Shawn who's just about to turn 20. Can you even imagine being that young and already a global superstar?

In 2018, Shawn was already a few years into his music career. His debut single, "Life of the Party," was released in 2014 when he was just 15. Yeah, you read that right. The kid's a prodigy. By 2018, he had already dropped three studio albums, "Handwritten" (2015), "Illuminate" (2016), and "Shawn Mendes" (2018).

Shawn Mendes in 2018: A Year in Review

So, what was Shawn up to in 2018? Well, he was busy promoting his self-titled album, which dropped in May that year. The album featured hits like "In My Blood" and "Lost in Japan," which are still on heavy rotation on my playlist, if I'm being honest. He also embarked on his "Shawn Mendes: The Tour" that year, performing in cities all over North America, Europe, and Asia.

But it wasn't all work and no play for Shawn in 2018. He also made time for some fun. He was spotted at Coachella that year, looking like he was having the best time. And who could blame him? It's Coachella, after all. He also made an appearance at the Met Gala, looking all dapper in a Tom Ford suit. I mean, the kid's got style, I'll give him that.

Now, you might be wondering, "But how old was Shawn Mendes in 2018, really?" Well, as we've established, he was 19 going on 20. But here's a fun fact for you: Shawn was actually born in 1998, the same year that Google was founded. Isn't that crazy? It just goes to show that some people are born with the world at their feet, and others have to work for it. Just kidding, Google. We still love you.

Shawn Mendes Today

Now, fast forward to 2022, and Shawn Mendes is all grown up. He's 23 now, and he's still killing it in the music scene. He's released another album, "Wonder," and he's been busy promoting it. He's also been using his platform to speak out about mental health, which is something I can really get behind.

So, there you have it, folks. That's the story of Shawn Mendes in 2018. It's crazy to think how much he's accomplished in such a short amount of time. But then again, when you're talented like Shawn, the sky's the limit. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some Shawn Mendes tunes to listen to. Until next time!
