How Old Was Billy Stranger Things

So, you're wondering, "How old was Billy in Stranger Things?" Well, buckle up, 'cause we're diving into the Upside Down of ages and actors. Grab a waffle, let's chat.

Meet Billy Hargrove, the New Kid in Town

Billy, played by the charming Dacre Montgomery, first strolled into Hawkins in Season 2. Now, let's not beat around the bush, Billy's a bit of a... well, let's say he's not your typical Hawkins sweetheart. But that's not what we're here for, is it?

Dacre's Journey to Hawkins

Before he was causing trouble in Hawkins, Dacre was born on November 22, 1994, in Perth, Australia. That makes him a Scorpio, in case you're into that astrology stuff. He's also got a twin brother, Christian, who's probably just as cool but doesn't get to play a total heartthrob on Netflix.

Billy's Age in Stranger Things

Now, let's get down to business. Billy's first appearance was in Season 2, which was set in 1984. Dacre was 23 when Season 2 was filmed, so in the show's timeline, Billy would have been around 18 or 19. But remember, Hawkins is a bit of a weird place, so who knows if that math checks out?

In Season 3, which is set in 1985, Billy would have been 19 or 20. But again, we're talking about a town where kids are fighting off monsters and opening portals to other dimensions. So, who's to say how time works there?

Billy's Actor Aging vs. Character Aging

Here's where it gets a bit tricky. Dacre was 24 when Season 3 was filmed, but Billy's supposed to be around 19 or 20. So, yeah, Billy's actor is a bit older than his character. But hey, that's showbiz for you. It's not like we're expecting them to cast a 12-year-old to play a 12-year-old, right?

Billy's Legacy in Hawkins

Despite being a bit of a troublemaker, Billy left his mark on Hawkins. He might not have been the most likable guy, but he sure had some memorable moments. And hey, even the bad guys deserve a little love, right?

Dacre's Future Beyond Hawkins

As for Dacre, he's not just stuck in the '80s. He's got a bright future ahead of him. He's been in a few other movies and TV shows, and who knows, maybe he'll even play a nice guy someday. A guy can dream, right?

So, How Old Was Billy Again?

In conclusion, Billy was around 18 to 20 in the show's timeline, but his actor, Dacre, was a bit older. But hey, who cares about a few years when you're fighting off monsters and saving the world? Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some waffles to finish.

And there you have it, folks! Billy's age, Dacre's journey, and a whole lot of fun in between. Isn't it amazing how these actors can bring these characters to life, even if they're not the exact age? It just goes to show, age is just a number, and in Hawkins, it's all about the adventure.
