How Old Is Olivia In Law And Order

First things first, Mariska Hargitay, the fabulous actress who plays Olivia, was born on January 23, 1964. That makes her a Capricorn, in case you're into that astrology stuff. But here's the kicker - her character, Olivia Benson, is a bit of a mystery when it comes to age.

You see, Law & Order is like that cool, older cousin who never seems to age. The show started in 1990, and it's still going strong, making it one of the longest-running scripted primetime TV series in the U.S. So, it's only natural that Olivia's age is a bit... fluid.

Age is Just a Number, Right?

Olivia's age has been a bit of a running joke among fans. In the show's early seasons, she was introduced as a 28-year-old detective. But as the seasons ticked by, so did Olivia's age. And by 'ticked by,' I mean they just stopped mentioning it altogether.

Here's a fun fact for you: In one episode, it was mentioned that Olivia was born in 1971. But hold onto your hats, folks, because in another episode, it was implied that she was born in 1967! Talk about a time warp!
