What Number Ipad Are We On

Hey there, tech enthusiast! Grab a coffee, pull up a chair, and let's chat about those sleek, shiny iPads. You know, the ones that make us feel like we're holding a piece of the future. So, what number iPad are we on now?

Well, let's rewind a bit. It all started with the iPad in 2010. Steve Jobs, with his signature black turtleneck, stood on that stage and said, "Our most advanced technology in a magical and revolutionary device at an unbelievable price." And just like that, the iPad was born. So, that makes it iPad 1, right?

Now, fast forward to today. We've had iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Air, iPad Air 2, iPad Pro in various sizes, iPad Mini, iPad Mini 2, 3, and 4, and the iPad 5. Phew! That's a lot of iPads, isn't it?

But here's the thing, Apple likes to keep us on our toes. They started skipping numbers, you know, to make us feel like we're always getting the latest and greatest. So, after iPad 5, they jumped straight to iPad 6 in 2018. Confusing, right? It's like when you're reading a book, and suddenly, you're on chapter 13. Where's chapter 12?

But let's not get lost in the numbers game. What really matters is what's inside those sleek, silver, or space gray cases. Each new iPad brings faster processors, better screens, and more features. Like that fancy Apple Pencil for drawing or writing, or the keyboard cases that turn your iPad into a mini laptop.

But hey, let's not forget the iPadOS. That's right, Apple gave the iPad its own operating system in 2019. It's like they said, "You're not just a big iPhone anymore, you're a whole new category." So, now we're not just counting iPads, we're counting iPadOS versions too. We're currently at iPadOS 15, in case you were wondering.
