So, how many are we talking about?

Alright, let's get down to business. As of now, there are three Alex Cross movies out there. Yes, you heard it right, just three. But don't let that small number fool you. These movies pack a punch, and each one is unique in its own way.

Meet Alex Cross: The Original Trilogy

Our first stop is "Kiss the Girls" (1997). This one's like the appetizer, setting the stage for our detective's journey. It's based on the first novel in the Alex Cross series by James Patterson. If you're into mysteries with a side of romance, this one's for you.

Next up, we have "Along Came a Spider" (2001). This movie is like the main course, serving up a generous helping of suspense. It's based on the second book in the series, and it's all about Alex Cross trying to save a little girl from a kidnapper. Talk about a high-stakes game!

Last but not least, we have "Alex Cross" (2012). This one's like the dessert, sweet and action-packed. It's based on the novel "Cross" by James Patterson. In this movie, we see Alex Cross facing off against a ruthless criminal, played by the one and only Tyler Perry. Yes, you read that right. Tyler Perry playing a character created by James Patterson. Talk about an interesting combo!

You might be wondering, "What about that Alex Cross TV show I've heard about?" Well, hold your horses, because that's a whole different story. The TV show, "Alex Cross," aired in 2011, and it's based on the character from the novels, but it's not part of the movie trilogy we've been talking about. Think of it as a spin-off, if you will. It's got its own charm, and it's worth checking out if you're craving more Alex Cross action.

Why should you care about Alex Cross?

Now, you might be thinking, "Why should I care about these Alex Cross movies?" Well, let me tell you, Alex Cross is no ordinary detective. He's a psychologist, a family man, and a total badass when it comes to solving crimes. He's like a mix between Sherlock Holmes and Atticus Finch. Plus, the movies are filled with twists and turns that'll keep you on the edge of your seat.

And hey, if you're a fan of James Patterson's novels, you'll love seeing your favorite characters come to life on the big screen. It's like getting a sneak peek into the author's mind. Plus, who doesn't love a good mystery?
