Kicking Off the Festivities: The First Week of December

We're starting off with a bang, folks. Hallmark's got a double feature for us on the first weekend. First up, we've got "Snowed In with Santa's Helper," a tale of a big-city exec who gets stranded in a small town and finds love (and maybe a little bit of herself) with the local Christmas enthusiast. Sound familiar? Well, it should, because it's basically "Groundhog Day" meets " Elf," and who doesn't love a good mashup?

Next up, we've got "Christmas in the Clouds," a movie about a tech genius who moves to a remote mountain town to escape the city lights and finds love with the local innkeeper. It's like "The Sound of Music" meets "The Martian," because, you know, space and mountains are basically the same thing.

Mid-December: The Holiday Movie Marathon Begins

By now, you've probably got your Christmas tree up, your stockings hung by the chimney with care, and your DVR set to record every Hallmark movie under the sun. Good. You're doing it right.

On the 15th, we've got "A Christmas Miracle in Cherrywood," a movie about a cynical journalist who goes undercover in a small town to write a story about their Christmas traditions and ends up finding love and believing in miracles. It's like "The Grinch" meets "The Truman Show," and who doesn't love a good redemption story?
