Why Is Book Of Enoch Not In Bible

Alright, gather 'round, folks. Let's talk about this Book of Enoch, why it's not in your average Bible, and why that's totally okay. Imagine you're at a massive library, like the one in Beauty and the Beast, but instead of a grumpy enchanted castle, it's just a regular old library. You've got your trusty librarian, who's been around the block a few times, and she's got the scoop on all the books.

Meet Enoch, the Original Bookworm

Now, picture Enoch, the guy this book is named after. He's like the original bookworm, living way back in the day, around 3000 years before our time. He was a guy who loved his books, loved his family, and loved his God. He was so into his books that he even wrote one himself, the Book of Enoch. It's like his personal diary, filled with his thoughts, stories, and predictions about the future.

But here's the thing, folks. Enoch's book was written in a different time, for a different audience. It's like trying to read a book from the 1800s about how to use a telegraph. Sure, it's interesting, but it's not exactly relevant to our lives today, right?

Why Enoch's Book Didn't Make the Cut

So, why isn't the Book of Enoch in the Bible? Well, it's not that simple. You see, the Bible was put together by a bunch of smart folks who spent years debating and discussing which books to include. They had a few criteria: was the book written by a prophet? Did it tell the story of God's people? Was it accepted by the community?

The Book of Enoch, unfortunately, didn't quite make the cut. It wasn't written by a prophet we know from the Bible, and it wasn't widely accepted by the Jewish community at the time. It's like trying to get your high school yearbook into the Library of Congress. It's just not gonna happen, kid.
