Drew Carey: The Man, The Myth, The Host

Since 2007, Drew Carey has been the face of this beloved game show. You might know him from Whose Line Is It Anyway?, or perhaps you've seen him on The Drew Carey Show. But did you know he was also a Marine? That's right, before he was making us laugh, he was serving our country.

Now, let's talk about his hosting style. Drew brings a unique blend of humor and enthusiasm to the stage. He's not afraid to get silly, whether he's playing a game or trying on a contestant's prize. And let's not forget his signature move - the "Candy Crowd" dance. If you haven't seen it, you're missing out!

Drew isn't just a host; he's a true fan of the game. He's been known to play along at home, even tweeting his guesses during episodes. And get this, he's so good at it, he's won the game twice! Yes, you read that right. Our host is a two-time Price is Right champion.

But Drew isn't the only host we've had the pleasure of watching. Before him, there was the legendary Bob Barker. He hosted the show from 1972 to 2007, making him the longest-serving host in the show's history. Bob was known for his smooth voice, sharp suits, and, of course, his catchphrase, "This is how much you've won, and this is how much you've won, and this is how much you've won."

Quirky Facts and Funny Details

Now, let's get into some fun facts. Did you know that the show's announcer, Rich Fields, is also a magician? That's right, he's been known to pull off a trick or two during commercial breaks. And what about the iconic "Come on Down!"? It's been said that the phrase was inspired by the theme song of the 1960s game show Queen for a Day.

But perhaps the most fascinating fact is about the show's prizes. The producers have been known to give away some... interesting items. We're talking everything from live animals to cars that don't run. But hey, it's all about the fun, right?
