When Was Grand Theft Auto 5 Released

So, you're wondering when Grand Theft Auto 5, or GTA 5 as we cool kids call it, hit the shelves, huh? Well, grab a coffee, let's dive in.

First things first, picture this: it's the year 2013. The world's still getting used to this whole 'selfie' thing, and Kim Kardashian's just broken the internet (little did we know, that was just the appetizer).

Now, Rockstar Games, those clever folks, they're sitting pretty in their offices, twirling their metaphorical mustaches, thinking, "How can we make this year even more iconic?"

And then, like a bolt of lightning (or maybe just a really well-timed email), it hits them. "Let's give the world GTA 5!" they exclaim, high-fiving each other with such force, they probably knocked over a few mugs of coffee.

So, when did this masterpiece of open-world chaos and car-stealing goodness see the light of day? Well, hold onto your hats, folks. It was September 17, 2013. Mark it in your calendars, folks. It's a day that'll live in infamy (in the best possible way).

But wait, you might be thinking, "That can't be right! I could've sworn I've been playing it for years!" Well, you're not wrong, my friend. You see, GTA 5 was first released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. But Rockstar, those sneaky devils, they knew they were onto something big.

So, they did what any self-respecting game developer would do. They polished it up, gave it a few extra bells and whistles, and bam! Out came the PC version on April 14, 2015. And let me tell you, folks, that was a good day.

But wait, there's more! You thought we were done? Oh no, Rockstar had other plans. They wanted everyone to join the party, even those who hadn't upgraded to the latest consoles yet. So, they rolled out the red carpet (or should I say, the yellow carpet?) for the Xbox One and PS4 versions on November 18, 2014.

And there you have it, folks. The epic saga of GTA 5's release dates. It's been a wild ride, hasn't it? From the humble beginnings on the PS3 and Xbox 360 to the PC and next-gen consoles, GTA 5 has certainly left its mark on the gaming world.

So, next time you're cruising the streets of Los Santos, stealing cars, and causing general mayhem, remember: it's all thanks to that fateful day in September 2013. Cheers to GTA 5, folks. Here's to many more years of chaos and fun!
