Mark Your Calendars!
In the NHL, the trade deadline is an annual event that's as predictable as a power play goal from Alex Ovechkin. It's always on the 25th day before the Stanley Cup Playoffs, which usually lands in late February or early March.
This year, it's March 3rd, 3 PM ET. Why so specific? Because the NHL loves a good drama, and a mid-afternoon deadline means we get to see trades unfold in real-time. It's like watching a high-stakes game of trading card trading cards!
