When Is The Next Season Of Rick And Morty

So, there I was, sitting in my favorite armchair, the one with the perfect indentation from years of binge-watching. I'd just finished off the last season of Rick and Morty, and I was feeling that familiar void, you know the one? It's like when you finish a bag of chips, and you're left with that empty, greasy silence. That's when it hit me, I needed more interdimensional cable, stat!

Now, I know what you're thinking, "But, friend, the last season was just released in 2021, it can't be time for another one already!" Well, hold onto your meeseeks, because we're about to dive into the world of animated chaos and find out when our favorite mad scientist and his anxious grandson will be back on our screens.

So, When's the Next Season, Already?

Alright, let's get down to business. As of now, there's no official release date for the next season. But, here's where things get interesting. In 2018, Adult Swim renewed the show for a whopping 70 episodes, split across five seasons. That's right, you heard it here, we're getting a lot more Rick and Morty!

Now, you might be wondering, "What does this mean for the release date?" Well, it means we've got a bit of a wait ahead of us. The last season, Season 4, was split into two parts, with the first half airing in 2019 and the second in 2020. Then, we had a bit of a gap, didn't we? Season 5, Part 1, finally graced our screens in June 2021. So, it looks like we're in for another wait, folks.

But, here's the thing, the show's co-creator, Dan Harmon, has mentioned that they're working on the show continuously. So, even though we might not have a release date yet, you can bet they're busy cooking up some interdimensional shenanigans as we speak.

What About Those Movies, Though?

You might be thinking, "But, what about those movies they've been talking about?" Well, hold onto your hats, because there's some good news on that front. In 2019, Harmon mentioned that they were working on a movie, and even though it's been a while since then, we haven't heard anything to suggest it's been scrapped.

Now, I know what you're thinking, "A movie? That sounds amazing!" And it does, doesn't it? But, let's not get too excited just yet. We don't have any official details on the movie, and with the TV show taking up so much of their time, who knows when we'll see it? But, hey, a guy can dream, can't he?

So, What Can We Expect?

Well, that's the million-dollar question, isn't it? Harmon has mentioned that the next season will delve deeper into the show's mythology, which is exciting. We've got a whole universe of possibilities out there, and I, for one, can't wait to see where they take us.

But, let's not forget, this is Rick and Morty we're talking about. Expect the unexpected, right? From dimension-hopping adventures to existential crises, there's no telling what our favorite duo will get up to next. But, one thing's for sure, it's going to be a wild ride.

Until Then...

So, there you have it, folks. We don't have an official release date for the next season of Rick and Morty, but we do know it's coming. And, hey, at least we've got the movies to look forward to, right? (Fingers crossed)

In the meantime, why not revisit some of your favorite episodes? Or, better yet, why not introduce a friend to the show? After all, sharing is caring, and everyone could use a little more interdimensional chaos in their lives, don't you think?

Until next time, stay weird, my friends. And remember, no matter how bad things get, at least you're not living in a world where the sun is a giant face. (Or are you?)
