When Does The Mario Galaxy Movie Come Out

So, When's Mario's Big Galaxy Adventure Hitting the Big Screen?

Alright, gather 'round, folks. I've got some piping hot, mushroom kingdom-inspired tea to spill about our favorite mustached plumber and his intergalactic escapades. You might want to grab a coffee, because this isn't your average "when's the next movie coming out" chat. We're diving into the warp pipe of rumors, speculation, and a healthy dose of wishful thinking.

Let's Start at the Beginning, Shall We?

Picture this: it's 2007. The world is still reeling from the release of Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii. We're talking life-altering, mind-blowing, gravity-defying gameplay that had us all spinning like tops. And then, just when we thought things couldn't get any crazier, Nintendo drops the bombshell - they're making a Mario Galaxy movie.

Cue collective gasp, followed by a chorus of "It's-a me, Mario!"s echoing through the streets. But then, silence. Crickets. Nothing. It was like Mario had taken a wrong turn and ended up in the Lost Levels again.

What Happened, You Ask?

Well, my friends, it seems our beloved plumber hit a bit of a roadblock. You see, back in 2014, Nintendo announced they were partnering with Illumination Entertainment - the folks behind the Minions, Despicable Me, and Sing. But then, plot twist! Nintendo decided to take a step back, citing creative differences. It was like watching Mario and Bowser's epic showdown, only to have Bowser pull a "Not today, Mario" and retreat to his castle.

But fear not, dear readers! Nintendo isn't one to stay down for long. In 2022, they announced they were teaming up with Chris Meledandri, the big cheese at Illumination, again. This time, it's personal. They're not just making a Mario movie; they're making a Super Mario movie. You know, like the games. With the 'Super' in the title and everything. How's that for a power-up?

So, When's the Big Premiere?

Alright, alright, I'll spill the beans. As of now, the bigwigs have penciled in an April 7, 2023, release date. Mark your calendars, folks! But remember, this is Hollywood we're talking about. Release dates are about as reliable as a Koopa Troopa's promise to leave Mario alone.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "But what about the cast? Who's voicing our favorite heroes and villains?" Well, hold onto your hats, because the roster is nothing short of super. We've got Charlie Day as Luigi, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Jack Black as Bowser, and even Keegan-Michael Key as Toad. And, drumroll please, the man himself, Mario, will be voiced by... dramatic pause ...none other than Chris Pratt. Yes, you read that right. Star-Lord is now Mario. It's like the Guardians of the Galaxy met the Mushroom Kingdom, and I, for one, am here for it.

But Wait, There's More!

You thought I was done? Oh, no, no, no. I've got one more ace up my sleeve. You know how Mario games always have those secret levels, hidden away, waiting to be discovered? Well, it seems the movie might have one too. Rumor has it, there's a secret scene after the credits. That's right, folks. A post-credits scene. In a Mario movie. I know, I know. It's like we've all been transported to a parallel universe where everything we know about Mario is turned on its head.

So there you have it, folks. The skinny on the Mario Galaxy movie. It's been a wild ride, hasn't it? From the initial announcement to the twists and turns, it's been like navigating a particularly challenging level of Super Mario 3D World. But hey, that's the magic of Mario. He might keep us on our toes, but he always delivers in the end. And who knows? Maybe, just maybe, this movie will be the start of a whole new adventure for our favorite plumber.

Until next time, folks. Keep your eyes on the horizon, because you never know when Mario might pop up next. And remember, no matter how many times you fall into that green pipe, there's always another adventure waiting just around the corner. Over and out!
