What's The Pig's Name In Toy Story

So, you've been wondering, "What's the pig's name in Toy Story?" Am I right? I mean, it's not like we haven't all had a good ol' stare-off with Hamm the piggy bank, trying to figure out if he's got a name tag hidden somewhere. But no, we're not talking about Hamm today. We're diving into the world of squeals and snouts to find the answer to that burning question.

Let's Start at the Beginning

Picture this: It's 1995, you're sitting in a theater, munching on your popcorn, and in walks (or rather, trots) a new character. A pig, to be precise. He's got a southern drawl, a love for barbecues, and a name that's as charming as he is. But what is it?

Meet Bo Peep's Little Helper

Alright, let's rewind a bit. Remember Bo Peep? The sweet, porcelain shepherdess who's always losing her sheep? Well, this piggy was her trusty sidekick. He was there to help her round up those wayward sheep, and he did it with a smile (or at least, as much of a smile as a pig can muster). But still, no name, right?

Well, hold onto your hats, folks. Because here's where things get interesting. You see, this little piggy wasn't just any pig. He was a talking pig. And he had a line. A line that, when you hear it, will make you slap your forehead and say, "Of course! How could I have missed that?"

And the Oscar for Best Line Goes To...

So, there's this scene, right? Bo Peep is trying to round up her sheep, and this piggy is helping her out. And then, out of nowhere, he says it. The line that reveals his name. It's a simple line, really. Just a few words. But it's enough. It's more than enough.

"That'll do, pig. That'll do."

And there it is. The name of the pig in Toy Story. It's not Ham, or Piggy, or any of the other names we've been throwing around. It's Rex. As in, T-Rex. As in, the dinosaur. Because, you know, Pixar loves their little Easter eggs.

But Wait, There's More!

Now, you might be thinking, "Okay, so his name is Rex. But why didn't they just tell us that?" Well, my friend, that's the magic of Pixar for you. They like to make us work for it a little. They like to hide the answers in plain sight. And sometimes, they like to make us wait a whole 25 years to find out the answer to a question that's been bugging us since we were kids.

But hey, that's what makes Pixar, Pixar. And it's what makes us, us. The ones who are still trying to figure out if Hamm has a name tag hidden somewhere.
