What Time Is Ashes On In Uk

So, there I was, tucked up in my flat in London, a good ol' cup of tea in hand, and a sudden craving for some good ol' fashioned cricket. I mean, who doesn't love a bit of that gentle thwack of willow on leather, the hum of the crowd, and the occasional "Howzat?!" that echoes through the stadium like a rallying cry. But the question was, what time was the Ashes on in the UK?

Now, I could've sworn I'd seen it on the telly the other day, but you know how it is, one minute you're watching, the next you're three episodes deep into some Netflix series, and the day's just slipped away. So, I figured it was high time I found out once and for all.

So, What Time Is It On, Then?

Alright, let's get down to brass tacks. The Ashes, for those of you who might have been living under a rock (or perhaps just not as cricket-mad as the rest of us), is a test series played between England and Australia. It's a bit of a big deal, you might say. And this year, it's being played right here in the UK.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "But what about the time zones, mate? Australia's a fair way away, isn't it?" Well, you're not wrong. Australia's a good 10 hours ahead of us here in the UK. But fear not, the powers that be have taken that into account. The matches are scheduled to start at 11 AM local time in the UK. That's right, you can enjoy your morning cuppa and still catch the first ball.

But What If I Can't Make 11 AM?

I hear you, mate. Life's busy, isn't it? Work, kids, the dog needs walking, the list goes on. But don't you worry, the good folks at Sky Sports and the BBC have got you covered. They're showing the matches live, so you can catch up on any action you might have missed. And if you're really keen, you can even set up a recording to watch later. Technology, eh? It's a wonderful thing.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "But what if I'm not in the UK? What if I'm off on my holidays, or perhaps working abroad?" Well, I've got good news for you too. The Ashes is being shown in a whole host of countries around the world. From Australia to India, New Zealand to South Africa, you shouldn't have any trouble finding a way to watch. So, What's The Schedule Like?

Alright, let's talk schedule. The Ashes is a test series, which means each match can last up to five days. This year, there are five tests in total. The first one started on June 16th at Lord's, the home of cricket. After that, we're off to Edgbaston, Headingley, Old Trafford, and finally, The Oval. It's a bit of a tour of the UK, really.

So, there you have it. The Ashes is on at 11 AM in the UK, and you can catch all the action live on Sky Sports and the BBC. Whether you're a cricket fanatic or just fancy a bit of a sporting spectacle, there's plenty to enjoy. So, grab your tea, find a comfy spot, and enjoy the show. And who knows?
