What Does That Number Mean On Snapchat

So, there I was, minding my own business on Snapchat, when I noticed something peculiar. I'd just sent a snap to my bestie, and right there, next to the little ghost icon, was a number I'd never seen before. Now, I'm no stranger to Snapchat, but this number had me scratching my head. "What on Earth does that number mean?" I thought to myself. And so, my friends, our little adventure into the world of Snapchat numbers begins.

First Things First: The Number

Let's talk about this mysterious number. It's not your average 1-10 score, nor is it a percentage. No, this number is something else entirely. It's a three-digit number, and it's not always the same. Sometimes it's a 1, other times it's a 999. So, what gives?

Before we dive in, let me ask you something. Have you ever seen this number before? If you have, high five! If not, don't worry, you're not alone. Let's find out what it means together.

Introducing: Your Snapchat Score

Alright, so here's the deal. That number you're seeing is your Snapchat Score. It's a special little number that Snapchat uses to measure your... well, your Snapchat-ness. It's a combination of the number of snaps you've sent and received, as well as the number of stories you've posted.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "But why, Snapchat? Why do you torture us with this number? What does it even mean?" Well, my friend, that's a great question. And the answer is... not much, actually. Your Snapchat Score isn't a measure of your popularity or your worth as a human being. It's just a number. A fun, little, completely arbitrary number.

But Wait, There's More!

You might be thinking, "Okay, I get it. It's just a number. But why does it change?" Well, here's where things get interesting. Your Snapchat Score doesn't change every time you send or receive a snap. No, no, that would be too simple. Instead, it changes randomly. Yes, you heard me right. Randomly.

What Does The Number Mean On Snapchat ! - YouTube

Snapchat uses some sort of mysterious algorithm (because of course they do) to decide when and how much your score should change. It could be a lot, it could be a little, or it could not change at all. It's a surprise every time!

So, What Now?

Now that you know what that number means, you might be wondering, "Should I try to increase my Snapchat Score? Is there a way to make it go up?" And to that, I say, "Why would you want to?"

Your Snapchat Score is just a number. It doesn't mean anything, and it doesn't do anything. It's not a competition, and there's no prize for the highest score. So, my advice? Don't worry about it. Just enjoy Snapchat for what it is: a fun way to share moments with your friends.

And who knows? Maybe one day, Snapchat will finally tell us what that number really means. Until then, let's just enjoy the mystery.
