Mark: A Name with History
Mark is one of those names that's been around the block a few times. It's got ancient Roman roots, believe it or not. Back in the day, 'Markus' was a popular name, and it meant something like 'dedicated to Mars', the Roman god of war. But don't worry, being named Mark doesn't mean you've got to be a warrior (though if you've ever tackled a tough project at work, you might disagree!).
Fast forward to the Bible, and you'll find a guy named Mark. He was a follower of Jesus and wrote one of the Gospels. This Mark became quite the celebrity in the Christian world, and his name stuck around.
