What Are The Most Watched Shows On Netflix

So, there I was, scrolling through Netflix the other night, you know, just casually looking for something to binge-watch. I mean, who hasn't been there, right? I swear, Netflix's algorithm knows me better than my own mother. It was suggesting shows left and right, but I was curious, what were the most watched shows on Netflix? The ones that had everyone talking, or should I say, streaming?

Netflix's Biggest Hits

Well, I decided to do a little digging. I mean, who needs sleep when you can find out what the world's been watching, am I right? Turns out, Netflix keeps track of the hours spent streaming, not just the number of viewers. It's like they're counting every single second we're glued to our screens. Scary? Maybe. Interesting? Definitely.

Squid Game

Let's start with the big one, shall we? Squid Game took the world by storm last year. I mean, who would've thought a show about deadly children's games would become a global phenomenon? But here we are. With over 1.65 billion hours streamed in its first 28 days, it's safe to say we were all hooked. I mean, who didn't binge-watch it in a single weekend? Don't lie, I know you did.

And can we talk about the hype? From memes to TikToks, everyone was playing the red light, green light game. I even saw a group of adults playing it at a party. I won't lie, I joined in. Don't judge me, you would've too.

The Witcher

Now, let's talk about Geralt of Rivia. The Witcher was a massive hit when it dropped in 2019. With over 76 million households tuning in, it's safe to say we were all riding the white wolf's wave. I mean, who can resist Henry Cavill's accent and those perfectly coiffed hair braids?

And let's not forget the memes. The "my blade" meme was everywhere. I still use it in my everyday conversations. "I'm sorry, I can't help you with that, that's not my blade." Classic.

Bridgerton

Alright, let's talk Regency romance. Bridgerton was the period drama we never knew we needed. With over 82 million households watching, it's the most watched series on Netflix to date. I mean, who can resist a little (or a lot) of Duke-induced drama?

And can we talk about the fashion? Those gowns, those wigs, those fans! I spent more time on Pinterest looking up Regency fashion than actually watching the show. But who's counting, right?

Stranger Things

Last but not least, the show that started it all. Stranger Things has been keeping us on the edge of our seats since 2016. With over 582 million hours streamed in its first four weeks, it's clear we're all obsessed with the Upside Down.

I mean, who didn't have a Hawkins Middle School lunchbox after season one? And who can forget the "Friends don't lie" meme? I still use it to this day. It's a classic.

So, What's Next?

Well, my friends, that's up to you. Netflix's library is ever-growing, and so are our watchlists. So, what's next on your list? Let me know in the comments below. Who knows, maybe I'll find my next binge-watch.

Until next time, happy streaming! And remember, Netflix knows what you've been watching. So, maybe don't watch that cheesy rom-com on repeat. Or do. I won't judge. Much.
