Comedy's Best Kept Secret: 23 Kingsway

Ever felt like you've stumbled upon a hidden gem? Well, grab your deerstalker hat and let's unravel the mystery of The Top Secret Comedy Club, tucked away at 23 Kingsway. This isn't your average comedy club, oh no, it's a comedy speakeasy!

Picture this: you're wandering down Kingsway, when suddenly, you spot a nondescript door with a tiny sign. It's like something out of a spy novel. Push it open, and voilà! You're greeted by a cozy, intimate space, buzzing with laughter. It's like stepping into a secret society, where the password is 'ha-ha'!

Quirky History, Quirkier Comedy

This isn't just any old comedy club. It's got history, and not the boring kind. It's been around since the 90s, when it was a secret hideaway for comedians to try out new material. Think of it as a comedy test kitchen!

And who's been cooking up laughs here? Oh, just a few small fry like Jimmy Carr, Russell Brand, and Michael McIntyre. They've all passed through these hallowed halls, honing their jokes before unleashing them on the world.

Comedy in the Round

Now, here's where it gets really interesting. The club's set up in the round, like a tiny, laughter-filled amphitheatre. It's just you, the comedians, and the intimate, electric atmosphere. No bad seats here, just great comedy, up close and personal.
