Super Smash Bros 3ds Dlc Codes Free 2019

So, there I was, sitting in my favorite gaming café, nursing a lukewarm coffee, when I overheard a couple of kids talking about Super Smash Bros. on the 3DS. Now, I've been a Smash fan since the N64 days, so I couldn't help but eavesdrop. They were discussing DLC codes, and one of them mentioned something about getting free codes in 2019. My ears perked up. Free DLC? Now that's something worth investigating.

Welcome to the World of Free DLC

Alright, let's rewind a bit. If you're new to the Smash Bros. universe, welcome! You're in for a treat. It's a crossover fighting game that's been around since the late '90s, featuring characters from various Nintendo franchises (and a few non-Nintendo guests). Now, about that DLC. Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Wii U had a ton of it, and while some of it was paid, there were also freebies. That's what we're here to talk about today.

What's in a Code?

DLC codes, for those unfamiliar, are like secret passwords that unlock extra content. In the case of Smash Bros., these codes could grant you new stages, music, characters, or even Mii Fighter costumes. They were often distributed through events, promotions, or even just as a thank you from Nintendo. The catch? They were usually time-limited, and once the deadline passed, they were gone for good.

Which brings us back to those kids at the café. They were talking about a website that supposedly had a list of free DLC codes that worked in 2019. I was skeptical, but also curious. So, I did what any responsible journalist would do - I grabbed my laptop and started digging.

2019: The Year of Free Smash?

After sifting through countless forums, Reddit threads, and even a few shady-looking websites, I found something interesting. There were indeed a bunch of free DLC codes floating around in 2019. Now, I'm not saying these codes will still work today - Nintendo's known to shut down old code redemption servers - but if you're feeling nostalgic, it's worth a shot.

Here are a few I found, just for kicks:

• Master Core - A stage from the Metroid series. Code: 486-773-739
• Ballad of the Wind Fish - A stage from The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. Code: 874-405-507
• Pit & Dark Pit Costumes - For your Mii Fighters. Code: 174-880-770

To use these codes, just go to the 'Shop' on your 3DS, select 'Add Funds', then ' Redeem a Download Code'. Enter the code, and with any luck, you'll get your free DLC. Again, no promises these will work, but it's worth a try, right?

But Wait, There's More!

While we're on the subject of free Smash Bros. goodies, let's not forget about the game's events. Nintendo often held online events that rewarded players with free in-game items. These could be anything from new music to special spirits (in Smash Ultimate). The catch? You had to play the game during the event to get the rewards.

Unfortunately, these events are long past, but if you're lucky, you might still find some event-specific content lurking in your game. To check, go to the 'Vault' in Smash Ultimate and see if there are any event-specific rewards waiting for you.

So, Is Free DLC Still a Thing?

As of now, Nintendo hasn't announced any new free DLC for Smash Ultimate. But who knows? They might surprise us. After all, they've been known to drop free content every now and then. Just keep an eye on their official website or social media channels for any announcements.

And who knows? Maybe one day, we'll all gather in a gaming café, talking about the latest free DLC codes. Until then, happy smashing!
