Surprising Facts That'll Blow Your Mind

Now, while we're on the topic of A New Hope, let me drop a few surprising facts that'll make you say, "I find your lack of knowledge disturbing." Did you know that the iconic Stormtrooper helmets were originally designed to be white? Yeah, you read that right. But when they filmed the desert scenes in Tunisia, the white helmets reflected the sun too much, so they were painted black. Talk about a close call!

And how about this one? The Death Star's superlaser was originally designed to shoot lasers out of its eyes. Yes, you heard it right. But George Lucas thought it looked too much like a giant, angry, laser-shooting face, so they went with the trench run idea instead. Phew, that was a close one for the Rebel Alliance.

But here's the kicker. You know the Greedo scene where he shoots first at Han Solo in the cantina? Well, in the original version, Han shoots first. But George Lucas changed it in the special editions to make Greedo look more like the aggressor. The internet has been divided on this issue ever since. Some say Han shot first, others say Greedo did. The debate rages on, like a lightsaber battle in the rain.

So, What Are You Waiting For?

With all these free streaming options and surprising facts, there's no excuse not to watch A New Hope.
