Pearl Harbor Survivors List Of Names Pdf

Alright, gather 'round, folks. I've got a tale to spin about a list that's not your average who's-who. We're talking about the Pearl Harbor Survivors List of Names. Now, I know what you're thinking, "That's not a list, that's a history lesson!" Well, hold onto your hats, because we're about to make history fun.

Who's on this list, anyway?

Well, let me tell you, it's a who's-who of folks who were in the thick of it on December 7, 1941. We're talking sailors, soldiers, airmen, and even a few civilians who were there when the Japanese attacked. Now, you might think, "How many people could there possibly be on this list?" Well, let me put it this way, there are more names on this list than there are flavors in a Baskin-Robbins!

But don't go thinking this is just some boring, old document. Oh no, this list has got character. It's got stories that'll make your hair stand on end and your sides split from laughing. Like the time a certain Admiral was so busy playing cards, he didn't even notice the bombs dropping. Now that's what I call a poker face!

How did this list come to be?

Well, it all started back in the day when the good ol' U.S. of A. was busy building up its military might in Hawaii. Now, I won't bore you with the details, but suffice it to say, the Japanese had other plans. They decided to pay a little visit, and let's just say, they weren't very good houseguests.

When the smoke cleared, the U.S. military was left with quite the mess. They needed to know who was still standing, who was injured, and who... well, wasn't. So, they started this list. It was like the world's longest, most depressing attendance sheet. But hey, at least they got to cross off "Take attendance" from their to-do list, right?

What's so special about this list?

Well, aside from the fact that it's a historical record of one of the most significant events in American history, this list is also a testament to the human spirit. It's a reminder that even in the face of adversity, people can come together, pick up the pieces, and carry on.

Take George Welch, for instance. This guy was a real-life action hero. He was on the list, but he didn't let that stop him from jumping into his plane and chasing after the Japanese attackers. Now that's what I call a can-do attitude!

So, where can you find this list?

Well, if you're the type who likes to roll up their sleeves and do some old-fashioned research, you can find the list in the National Archives. But if you're like me and you prefer your history with a side of convenience, you can find a PDF of the list online. Just do a quick search, and voila! You'll be knee-deep in history in no time.

Now, I know what you're thinking, "This list sounds fascinating, but it's also a bit of a downer." Well, don't you worry, because I've got just the thing to lighten the mood. Did you know that the term "G.I." actually stands for "Government Issue"? I know, I know, it's not as exciting as "Gigantic Imbecile," but hey, you can't win 'em all.
