Long As I Can See The Light Ccr Lyrics

So, you've found yourself humming along to Long As I Can See The Light, haven't you? CCR's classic, right? Let's dive in, grab a coffee, and chat about those lyrics.

CCR, You Say?

Creedence Clearwater Revival, darling. You know, those guys who made your dad's old records collection worth something. John Fogerty and co., singing about bayous and back roads since the '60s.

Now, About That Song...

Released in 1970, Long As I Can See The Light is like CCR's love letter to the open road. It's all about keeping on truckin', even when the going gets tough. Let's break down those lyrics, yeah?

Well, I'm goin' down the road feelin' bad
Lord, I'm leavin' here in the shape I'm in
But I'm goin' down the road feelin' sad
And I'm leavin' here in the shape I'm in

I mean, who among us hasn't felt like this, right? Stuck in a rut, just trying to keep moving forward. It's like Fogerty's giving us a big ol' 'Hey, me too!'

But What's With The Light?

Ah, the light! It's not just any light, it's that beacon of hope, that glimmer of optimism. It's the light at the end of the tunnel, the sun peeking through the clouds. It's CCR's way of saying, 'Keep your eyes on the prize, folks!'

Long as I can see the light
I'm gonna be all right

See, even when things are rough, as long as we can see that light, we're gonna be okay. It's like CCR's giving us a big ol' hug, saying, 'You got this, buddy!'

So, What's The Takeaway?

Well, my friend, it's simple. Life's a journey, full of ups and downs. Sometimes we're feelin' bad, leavin' here in the shape we're in. But as long as we can see that light, we're gonna be all right. Keep on truckin', yeah?
