Is There A Super Mario Bros 3 Movie

So, you know how we've been chatting about all things gaming lately? Well, grab your favorite mug, let's stir up some buzz about that Super Mario Bros. 3 movie we've all been wondering about.

Mario on the Big Screen?

I mean, come on, who wouldn't want to see our favorite mustached plumber leaping across the screen in 3D, right? But is it just a pipe dream, or is there really a Super Mario Bros. 3 movie in the works?

First things first, Nintendo and Illumination, the folks behind those minion movies, have been dancing together since 2018. They've already given us a Super Mario Bros. movie, set to hit theaters in 2022. But is that all we're getting?

What About Super Mario Bros. 3?

Well, here's where things get a little tricky. Nintendo's been pretty tight-lipped about any sequels. But, you know how it is with these big franchises - if the first one's a hit, they're not gonna stop at just one, right?

Now, I'm not saying we should start planning our opening night outfits just yet. But, let's just say, there's been some wink-wink, nudge-nudge from the higher-ups that's got us all kinds of excited.

What We Know So Far

Alright, so let's not get ahead of ourselves. Here's what we do know. The first movie's gonna star Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, and Charlie Day as Luigi. Not too shabby, huh?

And get this, the script's being written by none other than the guy who wrote Despicable Me and Minions. So, you know it's gonna be a wild ride.

But What About Super Mario Bros. 3?

Okay, okay, I know I said we shouldn't get our hopes up. But can you really blame us? I mean, think about it - the World 1-1 theme blasting through theater speakers, the thrill of that first warp pipe, the sheer joy of finding that secret exit...

Sorry, I got a little carried away there. But you see where I'm going with this, right? A Super Mario Bros. 3 movie could be huge.

So, Is It Happening?

Alright, let's rein it in a bit. The truth is, we just don't know. Nintendo's not saying, and Illumination's not saying. But that doesn't mean we can't dream, right?

I mean, think about it. If they can make a movie out of a little yellow minion, they can sure as heck make a movie out of a plumber in overalls. And if that movie happens to be based on one of the greatest video games of all time? Well, that's just the cherry on top.

So, there you have it. The state of the Super Mario Bros. 3 movie - or lack thereof. But hey, at least we've got the first one to look forward to, right? And who knows? Maybe, just maybe, we'll get lucky and Nintendo will surprise us all.

Until then, we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed and our Game Boys charged. Over and out!
