Is July 23 A Leo Or Cancer

So, there I was, at my local coffee shop, eavesdropping on a couple of astrology enthusiasts. One of them was swearing by the idea that July 23rd is a Leo, while the other was adamant it's a Cancer. I couldn't help but chime in, "Ladies, you're both wrong!" Well, not really, but it sure got their attention. Let's dive into this zodiac conundrum, shall we?

The Sun Signs Dilemma

First things first, let's talk about sun signs. These are based on the position of the sun at the time and place of your birth. Now, here's where it gets tricky. The sun enters Leo on July 22nd, but it doesn't leave Cancer until July 22nd either. So, what gives?

You might be thinking, "Well, that's just great. I was born on July 23rd, and now I'm a zodiac orphan!" Not quite. It all depends on the exact time you were born. If you were born before 11:59 PM (or 23:59 for our metric friends) on July 22nd, you're a Cancer. If you were born after that, you're a Leo. See, it's not so bad after all.

But What About the Cusp?

Ah, the cusp. The mysterious land where Cancers and Leos coexist. If you were born right around the 23rd, you might identify with traits of both signs. But remember, just because you're a cusper doesn't mean you're special (sorry to burst your bubble). It just means you were born at a specific time of the year.

Some astrologers argue that cuspers should pick a sign based on their rising sign (which is determined by the exact time and place of birth). Others say it's all about how the planets align with your sun sign. The truth is, there's no one-size-fits-all answer. It's all about what resonates with you.

So, Which Is It?

Alright, let's cut to the chase. If you were born on July 23rd, you're either a Cancer or a Leo. It's as simple as that. But here's the thing: astrology is about so much more than just sun signs. It's about the planets, the stars, and how they all align to make you, well, you.
