How To Tell If Respondus Is Recording

So, you're wondering if Respondus is recording, huh? Let's dive in, grab a virtual coffee, and figure this out together.

First things first, what's Respondus?

Respondus is like the bouncer of online exams. It's a tool that locks down your browser, making sure you're not cheating during tests. But is it secretly recording you? Let's find out.

Check the browser extension

First stop, your browser's extension page. If Respondus is installed, you'll see it there. But wait, does seeing it mean it's recording? Not quite yet, my friend.

Respondus needs to be active to start recording. So, let's check if it's running.

Look for the Respondus icon

In the toolbar of your browser, you should see a little Respondus icon. If it's there and active, it's probably a good idea to assume it's recording. But don't panic just yet!

Respondus isn't some Big Brother watching your every move. It's only interested in what's happening in the exam window.

But how can I be sure?

Alright, let's get to the nitty-gritty. Here's how you can check if Respondus is recording:

1. Right-click on the Respondus icon in your toolbar.

2. A menu will pop up. Look for an option that says something like 'Status' or 'Activity'.
