How Many Seasons Of The Oc Is There

Alright, gather 'round, 'cause we're about to dive into a wild ride through the world of Doctor Who, or as the cool kids call it, Doctor Who. You know, that time-traveling, alien-hunting, sonic-screwdriver-wielding, bow-tie-rocking, madman in a box? Yeah, that guy!

So, how many seasons of this whirlwind of fun are there?

Well, buckle up, 'cause it's not as simple as you'd think. You see, Doctor Who has been around since 1963, and it's had a few... let's call them 'breaks'. So, let's break it down, shall we?

Classic Who (1963-1989, 1996)

First up, we've got the original series, or 'Classic Who'. This baby ran for 26 seasons, with a little gap in the '90s. That's right, 26! But don't go thinking you can binge-watch it all in a weekend. Each episode is around 25 minutes, and there are over 600 of them. That's a lot of tea and Jammie Dodgers!

Now, you might be wondering, 'Why the gap?' Well, the show was put on hiatus in 1989, and it wasn't until 1996 that we got a TV movie to see if the Doctor could still capture our hearts. Spoiler alert: he did!

New Who (2005-present)

Then, in 2005, the Doctor was reborn with the new series, or 'New Who'. This time around, we've got 13 seasons (so far), with each episode clocking in at around 45 minutes. That's a whole lot of adventure packed into one episode!

And let's not forget the specials! Yep, you heard right. There are 13 special episodes scattered throughout the new series. They're like the Doctor's little treats for us between seasons. Aren't we lucky?

But wait, there's more!

You thought we were done? Oh no, no, no. We've barely scratched the surface of the Whoniverse. There are also animated adventures, spin-offs, and even a movie or two. But that's a story for another time.
