Did Kate Hudson Sing In Song Sung Blue

Hey there, ever found yourself humming along to "Song Sung Blue" and wondered, "Could that be Kate Hudson's voice?" Well, grab your coffee, 'cause we're diving into this musical mystery!

So, Did Kate Hudson Sing In "Song Sung Blue"?

Alright, let's rewind. "Song Sung Blue" is a groovy tune from the '70s, sung by Neil Diamond. Now, Kate Hudson, our favorite actress, has shown off her pipes in movies like "Almost Famous" and "Nine." But did she lend her voice to this classic?

Here's the thing, folks. Kate Hudson did record a version of "Song Sung Blue" for the soundtrack of her 2003 movie, "Le Divorce." But here's where it gets tricky. The version we hear in the movie and on the soundtrack isn't Kate's. It's a cover by French singer, Vanessa Paradis.

I know, I know, it's like finding out the big twist in a movie you've already seen. But wait, there's more! Kate did sing the song for the movie's trailer. You can find it on YouTube if you look hard enough. So, while she didn't sing it in the movie itself, she did give it her best shot for the promo.

But Why the Switch?

Well, my friend, that's Hollywood for you. Sometimes, creative decisions are made behind the scenes that we'll never know about. Maybe they thought Vanessa's version fit the movie better. Maybe it was a scheduling conflict. Who knows?

Now, you might be thinking, "But what about Kate's other musical moments?" Well, she's had a few! She's sung in several of her movies, and even performed a few songs on her mom, Goldie Hawn's, album.

Are Kate Hudson and Hugh Jackman Actually Singing in 'Song Sung Blue'?

And let's not forget her band, "The Cosmic Arrow." Yes, you heard right. Kate Hudson had a band! They played a few gigs back in the early 2000s. Sadly, they didn't release any music, but hey, not every celebrity band can be a *NSYNC, right?

So, while Kate Hudson might not have sung "Song Sung Blue" in the movie, she's definitely shown us she's got the chops. And who knows? Maybe one day we'll get a full-length album from the one and only Kate Hudson.

Until then, we'll just have to satisfy ourselves with her movie soundtrack appearances and that trailer version of "Song Sung Blue." Happy listening!
