Where Is Hamilton The Musical Playing

Hey there, theater buffs and curious minds! You're probably wondering, "Where can I catch the phenomenon that is Hamilton?" Well, buckle up, because we're about to take a whirlwind tour of this smash hit's global stage presence. Let's dive right in!

Broadway, baby!

Let's start where it all began - the Richard Rodgers Theatre in the heart of New York City's Theater District. This is where Lin-Manuel Miranda's brainchild first saw the light of day in 2015. Fun fact: The original cast recording won a Grammy, making Hamilton the first musical to win the award since 1963!

But wait, there's more! In 2016, Hamilton made history again by being the first musical to gross over $3 million in a single week. Talk about a box office sensation!

West End calling!

Across the pond, London's Victoria Palace Theatre has been home to Hamilton since 2017. And guess what? The West End production has its own unique twist - the role of Aaron Burr is played by a woman, and she's black. Talk about breaking boundaries!

But here's where it gets really interesting: The London cast has a secret weapon - a hidden bar tucked away in the theater's grand staircase. Shh, don't tell anyone we told you!

World tour: Next stop, you!

Alright, so you're not in NYC or London. No worries! Hamilton is on a world tour, and it might just be headed your way. They've already conquered Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Next up? Who knows? Keep your eyes peeled!

And get this - the Hamilton touring company has its own taco truck! That's right, folks. They're serving up some serious street cred (and tacos) wherever they go. Now that's a touring production!

But what if you can't make it to a theater? No problem! In 2020, Disney+ dropped a filmed version of the original Broadway cast. It's like having a front-row seat from the comfort of your couch. Talk about a game-changer!

And here's a little secret: Lin-Manuel Miranda is such a fan of the platform that he's even created a Hamilton-inspired playlist for Disney+. So go ahead, queue it up, and let the music set the mood while you wait for your chance to see the show live.

So, where's Hamilton playing next?

Well, that's the million-dollar question, isn't it? The best way to find out is to keep an eye on the official Hamilton website. They've got all the deets on upcoming shows, both in the US and abroad.

And who knows? Maybe one day, they'll announce a show near you. Until then, keep your eyes peeled, your ears open, and your heart ready for the revolution that is Hamilton!
