Hey there, soap opera fanatics! You're probably here because you're dying to know when your favorite beachside drama, Home and Away, is making a comeback in 2026. Well, grab your surfboards and let's dive in!

Mark Your Calendars!

Alright, so here's the big reveal. Home and Away is set to start its 2026 season on Monday, January 2. That's right, just a couple of days into the new year, you'll be back in the sunny, sandy world of Summer Bay!

But why so early, you ask? Well, the show's producers are pulling out all the stops to give us a fresh start to the year. Imagine it: New Year's resolutions, new storylines, and new tans (well, hopefully not for the characters!).

What's in Store for 2026?

Now, I know you're curious about what's going to happen in Summer Bay next year. But hold onto your hats, because I've got some insider info (well, okay, it's just speculation, but it's fun, right?).

Rumors are swirling that we might see a Love Actually-style Christmas special this year. You know, the one where everyone's connected in some way? Imagine that, but with more surf rescues and less snow. Could be a hoot!

And get this - there's talk of a new character who's a professional surfer. Could they be the next big thing in Summer Bay, or will they cause waves (sorry, couldn't resist) of drama? Only time will tell!

Fun Facts to Tide You Over

While we wait for 2026 to roll around, let's indulge in some fun facts about Home and Away. Did you know that the show was originally meant to be called Refuge? Phew, that's a close one!

And get this - the show's iconic theme tune, Holiday by the Buena Vista Social Club, was actually recorded in just one take. Talk about pressure!

But here's my favorite: In 2016, a group of fans raised enough money to buy a billboard in Sydney to celebrate the show's 30th anniversary. That's dedication, folks!

See You in Summer Bay!
