Paul Whitehouse Only Fools And Horses

Ever found yourself chuckling at the sight of a three-wheeled van, or chortling at the mention of 'This time next year, we'll be millionaires'? You're not alone. The culprit behind these classic comedy moments is none other than Paul Whitehouse, a man who's been tickling our funny bones for decades with his iconic role in Only Fools and Horses.

So, who's this Paul Whitehouse fella?

Born and bred in London, Paul Whitehouse is an actor, comedian, and writer who's been a staple in British comedy since the late 80s. You might recognize him from his time on The Fast Show, or perhaps you've caught him in one of his many other TV shows and films. But for many, he'll always be Grandad in Only Fools and Horses.

Now, you might be wondering, what's so special about this show? Well, let me tell you, it's a bit like that comfy old chair you've had since forever. It's familiar, it's warm, and it's got a story or two to tell. And that's just the start of it.

Only Fools and Horses: A Comedy Classic

Set in the bustling streets of Peckham, Only Fools and Horses follows the Trotter family, a group of loveable rogues trying to make a living in the big city. With their dodgy deals, hilarious one-liners, and a knack for getting into (and out of) sticky situations, they've become a symbol of British comedy.

And at the heart of it all is Grandad, the wise-cracking, tea-drinking, and sometimes slightly senile patriarch of the family. Played to perfection by Paul Whitehouse, Grandad is a character that's as endearing as he is funny. He's like that eccentric uncle we all have, the one who's always got a story to tell and a joke to crack.

But what makes Paul Whitehouse's performance so special? Well, it's all in the details. From his perfectly timed one-liners to his hilarious facial expressions, Whitehouse brings Grandad to life in a way that's both hilarious and heartwarming. It's like he's got this secret ingredient, this je ne sais quoi, that makes every scene he's in absolutely golden.

He's got a quick wit, a warm heart, and a knack for making people laugh. He's also a bit of a national treasure, having been awarded an OBE for his services to comedy in 2019.

And if you're a fan of his work, you're in luck. Whitehouse is still going strong, with a string of TV shows, films, and comedy specials under his belt. He's like that favorite pair of jeans you can't bear to throw out, always there when you need a good laugh.
