Guess Who's Back?!
You heard it right, folks! The nuns and midwives of Nonnatus House are dusting off their habits and ready to deliver another round of babies and joy. That's right, Call the Midwife is back for a new series!
So, What's the Scoop?
Well, grab your knitting needles and get comfy, because we're diving into the 1960s, baby! That's right, the new series is set to pick up where we left off, in the swinging sixties. Picture this: miniskirts, The Beatles, and the first contraceptive pill. It's a whole new world for our beloved midwives!
But don't worry, even with all the changes, our favorite nuns and midwives will still be there, bringing life into the world, one baby at a time. And who knows? Maybe we'll even see some new faces popping up in Poplar!

Did you know that the show's creator, Heidi Thomas, is a huge fan of Doctor Who? She's even written episodes for the iconic series! Maybe we'll get a crossover episode? A midwife-TARDIS combo? Now that's a show I'd watch!
And here's a fun one: the show's theme tune, "Wherever You Go", was written by Neal Hefti, the same guy who composed the theme for Batman! Talk about a powerhouse musical duo!
What to Expect in the New Series
Well, apart from the obvious baby boom, we can expect to see our midwives navigating the changing landscape of the 1960s. From the rise of feminism to the sexual revolution, it's a whole new ball game for our ladies in uniform.
