How Many Members Are In The So Solid Crew

Alright, gather 'round, 'cause we're about to dive into a little trip down memory lane, and talk about a crew that was as big in the early 2000s as your grandma's collection of knitting needles. You might be wondering, "How many members were in the So Solid Crew?" Well, buckle up, 'cause we're about to find out!

So, Who Were These Guys?

If you were around in the early 2000s, you'd know that the So Solid Crew was like the cool kid at the party. They were a UK garage and grime collective, a bunch of mates from South London who decided to turn their love for music into something big. They were like the Avengers of the UK music scene, each bringing their own unique superpower, er, I mean, talent.

Now, Let's Count 'Em!

So, how many members were in this crew? Let's see. There were 14 official members, each with their own stage name. Imagine trying to keep track of 14 kids at a birthday party, that's what their manager must've felt like!

Here's a little roll call for you: Ashley "Ashley Walters" Wallace, Carmel "Carmel" McLeod, Darren "Darren Barnet" John-Baptise, Dwayne "Dwayne Anthony" Vincent, Gerald "Gerald Impala" Ethrington, Jarren "Jarren Bennett" Bailey, Karren "Karren "K2" Williams, Lavelle "Lavelle" Ellis, Megaman, Omar "Obie Trice" Dhanani, Paul "PD" Delean, Richard "Richie Dan" Danes, Ross "Ruff Sqwad" Peacock, and Tony "Tony K" Kofi. Phew! That's a mouthful, right?

Why Should You Care?

You might be thinking, "Why should I care about how many members were in some crew from the early 2000s?" Well, let me tell you, the So Solid Crew was more than just a bunch of guys making music. They were a phenomenon, a cultural movement that shook up the UK music scene.

They were the first UK garage act to have a number one single, with "21 Seconds" in 2001. They were like the pioneers of grime, paving the way for artists like Dizzee Rascal and Wiley. They were the cool kids at the party, and everyone wanted to be their friend.

But more than that, they were a family. They were a group of friends who came together to make music, and that's something special. It's like that group of friends you had in high school, the ones you'd do anything for. That's what the So Solid Crew was like, and that's why you should care.

So, What Happened to Them?

Well, like all good things, the So Solid Crew eventually disbanded. Some of them went on to have successful solo careers, like Ashley Walters who you might know from the TV show "Top Boy". Others, like Megaman, continued to make music but stayed out of the limelight.

But even though they're not together anymore, their influence can still be felt in the UK music scene today. They were the ones who showed us that music can bring people together, that it can start a movement. And that, my friends, is something worth caring about.

So, there you have it. The So Solid Crew had 14 members, and they were a big deal. Now, go on, put on some of their tunes and reminisce about the good old days. And if you're feeling really nostalgic, try to remember all their names. I dare you!
