How Many Genshin Characters Are There

So, I was sitting at my desk the other day, trying to decide which character to use in Genshin Impact. I mean, it's like choosing a favorite child, right? Each one has their own unique powers, backstory, and let's not forget, adorable designs. But then it hit me, "How many Genshin characters are there?"

I know, I know, it's a bit of a loaded question. It's not like they're all just sitting in a big ol' character warehouse, waiting for us to pick them up. But still, I was curious. So, I decided to do a little digging.

Let's Start with the Basics

As of now, Genshin Impact has released two major updates, each introducing new characters and regions. We've got Mondstadt, Liyue Harbor, and Inazuma to explore, each with its own set of characters. So, let's break it down.

Mondstadt

Mondstadt, the city of freedom and winds, is home to some of the game's earliest characters. We've got the Anemo Archon, Barbatos, who can be summoned as Barbatos (Venti), and his sister, Eula, the Spindrift. Then there's the Cryo Archon, Tsaritsa, who can be summoned as Ayaka. And let's not forget the other Mondstadt characters like Lisa, Amber, and Kaeya.

Liyue Harbor

Liyue Harbor, the port city of wealth and commerce, is where we find the Geo Archon, Rex Lapis, who can be summoned as Zhongli. Other Liyue characters include the Electro Archon, Ei, who can be summoned as Raiden Shogun, and characters like Xingqiu, Beidou, and Ningguang.

Inazuma

Inazuma, the island nation of elegance and wealth, is the latest region to be added. It's home to the Electro Archon, Ei, who can also be summoned as the Raiden Shogun (yes, she's that important), and other characters like Yoimiya, Kazuha, and Sayu.

Every Genshin Impact Playable Character List

But wait, there's more! Genshin Impact also has characters from other regions that we haven't explored yet, like the Fatui Harbingers, who are part of the game's main storyline. And let's not forget the Traveler, the game's protagonist, who can switch between Anemo and Geo elements.

So, How Many Characters Are There?

As of now, Genshin Impact has introduced over 40 playable characters. That's right, 40! And that's not including the characters that we can't play as yet, like the other Archons and some of the Fatui Harbingers.

But here's the thing, miHoYo, the game's developer, has mentioned that they plan to add more regions and characters in future updates. So, who knows? Maybe by the time you're reading this, there are already more characters to choose from.

And that, my friends, is the story of how I tried to count the Genshin characters. It's a bit like trying to count the stars in the sky, isn't it? The more you look, the more you find. But hey, that's part of the fun, right?
