Why Did Rob Estes Leave 90210

So, you're probably wondering, why did Rob Estes just up and leave 90210? I mean, who can blame you? The guy was like the original Beverly Hills dad, right? Let's dive in, grab a coffee, and chat about it.

Rob's Arrival: The Golden Boy

First things first, let's rewind. Rob Estes joined the 90210 reboot in 2008, playing Harry Wilson, the charming, successful real estate mogul. He was the golden boy, the perfect dad we all wanted. His character was a breath of fresh air, and fans loved him. So, what went wrong?

Contract Renewal: The First Hint

In 2010, when it was time to renew his contract, Rob Estes didn't. Now, that's not to say he didn't want to. But remember, TV shows are a business, and sometimes, the business side can get a little... complicated. Money was reportedly the issue. The show wanted to cut his salary, and Rob, understandably, wasn't feeling it.

But here's where it gets interesting. Rob Estes didn't just walk away. No, no, no. He fought for his character. He wanted to stay, but on his terms. He even went so far as to sue the show's production company, claiming breach of contract. Now, that's what you call a passionate performance, both on and off screen!

Spin-off: The Silver Lining

So, Rob Estes didn't get his way with 90210. But, as they say, when one door closes, another one opens. And for Rob, that door led to The Secret Circle. He joined the cast in 2011, playing a new character, a new dad. Not a bad consolation prize, right?

But let's be real, it's not the same. It's like trading in your dream car for a reliable sedan. Sure, it gets you where you're going, but it's not the same thrill. And let's not forget, The Secret Circle didn't last long. It was cancelled after just one season. Talk about a bumpy ride!

Looking Back: No Regrets

So, did Rob Estes regret leaving 90210? Well, in a 2012 interview, he said he didn't. He said he was proud of the work he did on the show and that he had no regrets. And you know what? I believe him. Because at the end of the day, Rob Estes is a pro. He's an actor, and actors act. They move on, they adapt, and they keep on truckin'.

And that, my friend, is the story of why Rob Estes left 90210. It's a tale of contracts, passion, and the ups and downs of show business. Now, who's ready for a refill?
