Why Did Corrin Pull Out Of Gbm

So, you might've heard that Corrin, the star of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, isn't making an appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's next DLC fighter. You might be wondering, "Why the switcheroo, Nintendo?" Let's dive into this, yeah?

First things first, who's Corrin?

Corrin is the main protagonist of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, a game that's like a medieval fantasy high school drama, but with way more swords and magic. You can play as Corrin, a student at the Garreg Mach Monastery, who's got a mysterious past and some serious dragon-riding skills. They're a total badass, basically.

Why the hype for Corrin in Smash?

After the release of Three Houses, Corrin became a hot topic for Smash DLC. Fans loved their unique moveset, with a dragon transformation that'd make even Goku jealous. Plus, they'd be the first Fire Emblem character with a full voice acting debut in Smash. It was looking like a sure thing, right?

But then, Nintendo dropped the bombshell. No Corrin in the next DLC. Bummer, huh? Let's find out why.

What happened, Nintendo?

Nintendo's been pretty tight-lipped about the whole thing, but here's a theory that's been floating around. Remember when they said they'd announce the next DLC fighter in June? Well, that didn't happen. Instead, they announced Sora from Kingdom Hearts. Some fans think Nintendo might've been waiting for the right moment to introduce a character that'd get everyone talking. And boy, did Sora deliver.

Another theory is that Corrin's release might've been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With everyone working from home, it's possible that development on Corrin's Smash appearance was put on hold. But that's just speculation, folks.

So, is Corrin out for good?

Nah, man. Nintendo's not one to leave a popular character hanging. They've said that Corrin's still on their radar, and they're considering them for future DLC. Phew, right?
