Who Was Martin Kemp In Eastenders

Alright, gather 'round, 'cause we're about to dive into the world of EastEnders, and chat about a bloke who's been a massive part of it - Martin Kemp. Now, if you're new to the show, don't worry, we won't spoil anything major. Let's just say, Martin's been around since the dawn of time... well, not quite, but you get the gist.

So, Who's Martin Kemp?

Martin Kemp, born in 1961, is an English actor, musician, and television personality. He's best known for his role as Steve Owen in EastEnders, but he's also been a part of the band Spandau Ballet, and has judged on shows like Got to Dance and The X Factor. Quite the CV, eh?

Now, let's talk about his EastEnders days. Martin joined the soap in 1998, and boy, did he make an entrance! His character, Steve Owen, was a dodgy market trader with a heart of gold (well, sometimes). He was a bit of a ladies' man, always getting himself into sticky situations. But who didn't love a bit of drama back then?

Martin's Memorable Moments

Martin's time on the show was filled with twists and turns. Remember the time Steve found out about Phil Mitchell's dodgy dealings? Or when he had that epic showdown with Grant? And who could forget the time he was shot by his own wife, Little Mo? Talk about a cliffhanger!

But it wasn't all drama. Martin also brought a lot of laughs to the show. His on-screen relationship with Little Mo was like a car crash you couldn't look away from. And let's not forget his iconic catchphrase, "You what, mate?" It's become a part of EastEnders folklore!

Martin left EastEnders in 2002, but he's still a beloved character. He's gone on to do other TV shows and music projects. He even judged on Got to Dance with his son, Roman, who's following in his dad's footsteps in the entertainment industry.

And here's a fun fact for you - Martin's also a bit of a history buff. He presented a documentary series called Britain's Bloodiest Dynasty, all about the Plantagenets. Who would've thought, eh?
