Who Played At Wembley Last Night

So, I was walking my dog last night, right? We were strolling past the park, and I could've sworn I heard the faint echo of a familiar tune. I paused, tilted my head like a confused puppy (which, let's face it, I kind of am), and realized, "Hey, that's Three Lions!" You know, the song that's been stuck in our heads since, well, forever. It got me thinking, "Who's playing at Wembley tonight?"

Wembley, You Say?

Now, I know what you're thinking. "Wembley? Really? At this time of night?" Well, yes, dear reader, it seems our beloved stadium doesn't just host matches during daylight hours. No, no, it's a 24/7 kind of place. At least, that's what the internet tells me. And we all know the internet never lies, right?

Anyway, I whipped out my phone (because, you know, I'm not that old), and lo and behold, there it was. A match was indeed happening at Wembley. I mean, I should've guessed, really. It's not like the place is just a big, empty field on off days. Though, to be fair, it does look a bit sad when it's not buzzing with fans.

So, Who Was It?

Alright, alright, I'll stop keeping you in suspense. It was England, of course! I mean, who else would it be? It's not like they'd let just anyone play at Wembley, right? (Though, I must admit, I'd pay good money to see a penguin vs. a squirrel match. Just imagine the chaos!)

So, there you have it. England was playing at Wembley last night. And, if you're wondering, they won. I mean, they had to, right? The pressure of playing at home, the weight of expectation... It's a lot. But they pulled through, and that's what matters.

But What About the Music?

You might be wondering, "What about that song you heard, the one that's been stuck in our heads since the 90s?" Well, I've got good news for you. The FA has confirmed that The Lightning Seeds will be performing Three Lions live at the next match. So, if you're planning on going, make sure you've got your singing voice ready. And, if you're not planning on going, well, you should be. It's not every day you get to sing along to a national anthem with 90,000 other people.

Anyway, that's all for now. I've got to go. My dog's giving me that look, you know the one. The "I've been waiting for you to finish your little chat so we can go home and I can eat" look. Until next time, folks. Stay tuned for more Wembley-related updates. And, you know, other stuff too. I don't want to limit myself to just one stadium.
