Where Is The Walking Dead Set

So, you're wondering where all the zombie action in The Walking Dead goes down, huh? Grab a coffee, let's chat about it.

First things first, Georgia is the main star here, not just the humans or the walkers. The show's creators, Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore, wanted a Southern backdrop for their comic series, and the TV show stuck with it.

Now, let's talk about the cities and towns. You've got your Atlanta, the big city where it all started. Remember the CDC? Yeah, that was a big deal. Then there's Woodbury, the walled-off community that seemed like a safe haven... until it wasn't. And who could forget Alexandria, the gated community that became a sanctuary for our survivors?

But wait, there's more! The show has also ventured into the countryside, with locations like Hershel's farm and the prison (yes, that prison). And let's not forget the canal town where Rick and the gang met Negan and his Saviors. Spoiler alert: it didn't go well.

Now, you might be thinking, "But what about those Whisperers? Where did they come from?" Well, my friend, that's where things get a little more... rustic. The Whisperers, led by Alpha, are a nomadic group who blend in with the walkers, using their skin as camouflage. They've been spotted in various rural areas, like the forest where they had that... unpleasant encounter with our survivors.

And hey, if you're a fan of the comics, you might be wondering about that Hilltop Colony and the Kingdom. Yeah, they're in Georgia too. The show's been known to mix things up, but the spirit of the comics is still there.

So there you have it, a little tour of The Walking Dead's Georgia. It's not all peaches and sunshine, but hey, it's not like they can just pick up and move to a place with fewer walkers, right?

Now, who's ready for another cup of coffee? My treat!
