Alright, so here's the deal. The new Halloween movie, which is a direct sequel to the 1978 original (yes, you heard it right, we're ignoring all those other ones!), is set to hit theaters on October 15, 2021. That's right, just in time for you to get your scare on before the big night.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "But why so far away? I can't wait that long!" I feel you, friend. But remember, good things come to those who wait. And trust me, this one is worth the wait.

What's the Scoop?

So, what can we expect from this new flick? Well, for starters, the original scream queen herself, Jamie Lee Curtis, is back as Laurie Strode. And guess who's back too? That's right, the shape-shifting, knife-wielding boogeyman himself, Michael Myers.

This time around, we're picking up with Laurie 40 years after the original. She's been living with the trauma of that fateful night, and now, Michael's back to finish what he started. It's a family affair, folks. Literally. The film is directed by David Gordon Green, who co-wrote the script with Danny McBride and Jeff Fradley. And get this, John Carpenter, the mastermind behind the original, is on board as an executive producer and composer. Talk about a dream team!
