How Old Was Finn Wolfhard In Stranger Things Season 1

Ever found yourself binge-watching Stranger Things and wondered, "Hey, how old was Finn Wolfhard when he first popped up as Mike Wheeler?" You're not alone, friend. Let's dive into the Upside Down of Finn's age and emerge with some cool facts.

So, how old was Finn in Season 1?

Alright, let's rewind to 2015, the year Stranger Things Season 1 was filmed. Finn Wolfhard, our beloved Mike, was just a wee 12 years old. Can you believe it? The kid who was brave enough to face Demogorgons was barely a teenager!

But wait, wasn't he younger in the show?

You're right! In the show, Mike and his pals are supposed to be 12. So, Finn was playing a character his own age. Talk about typecasting, huh? But remember, acting is all about playing pretend, and Finn did an amazing job playing a kid who was wise beyond his years.

Now, you might be thinking, "Wow, he was so young! What else was he into at that age?" Well, let me tell you, Finn was just like any other 12-year-old. He loved playing video games, watching movies, and hanging out with friends. The only difference? He was also busy becoming a global sensation.

From Stranger Things to stardom

After Season 1 aired in 2016, Finn's life changed overnight. He went from being a kid who loved acting to a teenager who was recognized everywhere he went. It's like going from playing tag in the park to suddenly being invited to the cool kids' table at school – times a thousand.

But Finn took it all in stride. He continued to act in Stranger Things, and even joined the cast of It and It: Chapter Two as Richie Tozier. He also started a band, Calpurnia, with his friends. Talk about multitasking!

Maybe one day, he'll be playing a character even older than he is now. After all, in Hollywood, age is just a number – especially when you're as talented as Finn Wolfhard.
