How Old Is Ravi In Eastenders

Ever found yourself wondering, "Hey, how old is Ravi in EastEnders, anyway?" I mean, the kid's been around for a while, but it's hard to keep track, right? Well, grab a cuppa, let's dive in and find out together.

So, who's Ravi, again?

In case you've been living under a rock (no judgment, we've all been there), Ravi Gulati is a character in the long-running British soap opera, EastEnders. He's the son of Masood Ahmed and Zainab Masood, and he's been causing a stir in Walford since 2007. But how old is he, you ask?

Let's do some math, shall we?

Ravi was first introduced as a teenager. The actor who plays him, Aaron Thiara, was born on 15th February 1993. So, when Ravi first appeared on our screens, Aaron was around 14 years old. That makes Ravi around 18 in EastEnders time, right?

But here's where it gets interesting. EastEnders time doesn't always match up with real life. Sometimes, months or even years can pass in the show in the blink of an eye. It's like when you're watching a movie and suddenly the characters are all grown up - what happened to the in-between years, huh?

Time flies in Walford

Remember when Ravi left Walford in 2016? Well, Aaron Thiara took a break from acting, and when he came back in 2018, Ravi was suddenly all grown up. In real life, Aaron was 25, but in EastEnders time, Ravi was only 21. Mind. Blown.

So, if Ravi was 18 when he first appeared and he's aged four years in real life but only three in EastEnders time, that makes Ravi... drumroll please... 21 years old in EastEnders as of 2021. Boom! Mystery solved.

But wait, there's more!

Now, you might be thinking, "But what about all those years that passed in Walford while Ravi was away? How old would he be if we counted those?" Well, that's a good question, curious mind. If we were to count those years, Ravi would be around 24 years old. But remember, that's not the age he's playing in the show right now. It's all very confusing, isn't it?

Why does it matter, anyway?

You might be wondering why we're all worked up about Ravi's age. Well, it's because age is a big deal in soap operas. It can determine storylines, character development, and even who can kiss who (ew, we know). Plus, it's just fun to try and wrap our heads around the weird and wonderful world of soap opera timekeeping.

So, the next time you're watching EastEnders and you find yourself wondering, "How old is Ravi again?" you can impress your friends and family with your newfound knowledge. Just don't mention the four-year gap. Some things are best left unexplained.
