Did Tom Hanks Won An Oscar

So, About Tom Hanks and That Little Gold Man...

You know, I was at this party the other night, and someone asked me, "Hey, isn't Tom Hanks like the most Oscar-nominated actor alive?" I mean, I've seen "Forrest Gump" enough times to know he's a big deal, but I wasn't sure. So, I thought, let's dive into this, shall we?

Tom Hanks: A Hollywood Staple

First off, let's give credit where it's due. Tom Hanks has been around since the '80s, and he's been killing it ever since. From "Bosom Buddies" to "Cast Away," this guy has played everything from a volleyball to a real-life hero (I'm looking at you, "Captain Phillips").

But enough about his amazing career. Let's get to the main event: the Oscars.

Oscar's Favorite Son?

Now, I've seen my fair share of award shows, and I've noticed something. Tom Hanks is always there, and he's always nominated. But has he actually won? Let's find out.

As of now, Tom Hanks has been nominated for a whopping six Academy Awards. That's right, six! And he's won two of them. Not too shabby, huh?

But Wait, There's More!

Here's where it gets interesting. Tom Hanks has won Oscars for both "Philadelphia" (1993) and "Forrest Gump" (1994). That's right, back-to-back wins! And he's the only actor to win back-to-back Oscars since Tom Kendrick did it in the '30s.

But here's the kicker. Despite his impressive track record, Tom Hanks is not the most Oscar-nominated actor alive. That title goes to Meryl Streep, with a total of 21 nominations. But hey, Tom's still doing pretty well for himself!
